Christmas Tree Shops
Posted July 31, 2012
on:Does a store named Christmas Tree Shops make you think that they only carry items for the holidays? If it does, then you’d be surprised at what is actually sold there. They sell items for almost every room inside and outside of the house.
Check out their latest flyer, (here) but this is just a small sample:
Lawn and garden
Floral
Storage
Furniture
Lamps
Linen, tablecloths, place mats
Bedding, sheets, curtains, blanket, comforter sets
Kitchenware, dishes, pots, pans, utensils
Office supplies
Books, stationary, cards, party goods
pet supplies, vitamins, beverages, water
Miscellaneous novelties, toys, crafting kits
Foods, snack, seasonings
Cosmetics, nail, hair and body care
Jewelry, toys, pool items
I stopped taking pictures because sale associates starting following me around as if I was going to steal something – lol!
I went to Christmas Tree Shops especially for the Castile Soap, and unfortunately the price increased from $8.99 bottle to $10.99 bottle, but it’s worth it. I’ll do a price comparison at Farmers Market or Trader Joe’s.
God blessed us with another gorgeous summer weekend and today I am plowing through Monday like a turtle on steroids!  This morning I had to add extra spinach and kale to my green smoothie because I over did it with the sodium and suds.  Yesterday afternoon good friends of ours stopped by the house after leaving Maryland en-route home to New York.  Anytime someone visits us from Maryland I always have just one request – BRING SOME CRABS!!!!  In our house summer isn’t complete without sitting at the table covered in newspaper with a bowl of melted butter and hot sauce cracking open steamed crabs covered in Old Bay Seasoning.  Of course I must wash it down with a cold beer!  Add some boiled corn (which I forgot), potato salad and shrimp and everything is right with the world.
This outfit was laid out last week, and it’s perfect for today because it’s covering the results of too much sodium and suds but oh it was so well worth it!

I don’t normally shop the malls because of the high markups on clothing and shoes but yesterday I stopped at the Concord Mall and found a FANTASTIC deal at New York & Company.

FRI-YAY ~~ FRI-YAY
I kept with my black and white theme this week but added a splash of green for casual Friday.  I can’t believe that this is the last weekend in July, summer is just flying by and soon the weather will be cooler and long pants will be the norm.  These long pants have been in my closet for several years, they can be cinched on the side or folded to look like capris.  I’ve worn them with heels and boots but today I am wearing these comfy neon green and white sandals.  I hope you all have a fan-tab-u-lous weekend!

EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING!
REPEAT
Here we go again another excessive heat warning – PLEASE try to stay cool, hydrated and check on the elderly.
Summer is my favorite season and it’s on days like this that I would love to be home lounging around the pool instead of driving 3 hours a day adding exhaust fumes to an already damaged ozone layer!
Today is the 4th day of my black and white work week, and so far so good I haven’t spilled anything which is amazing since it seems like white always attracts dirt, I don’t know how Lisa Raye does it!
