OOTD – Layering Leaves

Today is my “YAY-DAY” because tomorrow I’m off for a stay-ca-day to start the long Labor Day holiday weekend. Today’s outfit is layered like the leaves on the lawn …. don’t go summer…please stay a wee bit longer (wiping away tears). Not ready to put away the summer wear so I covered this spaghetti strap maxi with a front zip vest thrifted from Goodwill, accented with a red belt from Ross. Popping more of the red with earrings inherited from my lil sis who passed away in 1992, a bracelet from MizOutlet.com and covered one stone in my ring with red nail polish. The polish is easily removed for a change of color to accent another outfit. I thought about wearing red shoes but decided on these black and white stripped wedges from Marshalls.

OOTD – Anchors Away

Happy Hump Day Wednesday, I hope you are having a peaceful yet productive day. I am trying my hardest to wear as many summer outfits as possible before the cool days of Autumn arrive. I have a feeling that like summer, the tempetures are going to be extreme but at the opposite end of the thermometer. I haven’t worn this outfit (here) since the Spring when I was chosen “DC’s Friday Fashionista” (here). It was after that post that I remembered the wheel in the garage, where it has been stored for over 20 years, guess it will soon become a yard sale item. I vowed to include it if I ever wore the outfit again…and today is the day, it fits in with the Nautical Anchors Away theme.
This is also the first time wearing these wedge sandals, purchased online from Urbanog.com along with several other pairs in April (here).
Doesn’t the first shot look like I was saying, “don’t start nothing and there won’t be nothing!” – lol

Another “return” trip to Ross yesterday after work (remember this one) and found a few new beauty and “As Seen on TV” products.

OOTD – Back To School

Today was the first day of school for al-Malik and needless to say, he was not excited about boarding that bus this morning….kept whining something about wanting a car….in his dreams and my nightmares!!! Time sure does fly, after today I only have 1 more chance to get that “first day of school” picture, then he’s off to college!!! Where does the time go…I miss my babies 😦
Hubby started back to school yesterday, he’s a Student Advisor in a Middle School. When I got home and asked how his day was, he was like…”oooh you know how it hard it is going back….” NOPE…cause I don’t get 3 months off in the summer buddy!!!! I have a house of whiners!!!!
