OOTD – Tuesday’s Two Thrifted Tops & $5
Posted February 19, 2013
on:Hello Friends, I hope you are having a terrific Tuesday.
It appears as though everyone is back to work because the commute was slow and I drove even slower trying to save gas. Can you believe the prices, I last paid $3.65 for a gallon and it’s goes up a few cents every day. How much is it in your area?
My commute is 100 miles round trip and it is definitely putting a dent in my wallet, so to save money I have vowed not to shop until April when the prices are supposed to drop. The economic recovery is no where near where it should be and these gas prices aren’t helping! Before my self imposed shopping freeze I was able to snag two skirts from JC Penney’s for $5 each and am wearing one of them with a thrifted top and blazer.
Liz Claiborne Collection Skirt – JC Penney // Oxblood Top – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Black Blazer – GW Boutique
Necklace and Earrings – Payless // Ring – Avon // Hose – Walmart
The Merona pumps were part of the clearance shoe haul from Target.

Pretty! Gas still ranges from 3.39 (Kroger card savings) to $3.60 at this point. I did see some areas around Midtown that were in over the $3.65 mark for sure. I love the burgundy. I need to keep a watch on the JCP sales. They really have adorable stuff out this season.

Not too bad, I was able to use my Safeway grocery rewards two weeks ago and get it for $3.11 – but it’s ridiculous. Yes, check out JC Penney, they are trying to re-image themselves and have some great items and prices. I remember shopping there in high school!
