Lovely Day Tuesday

Posted on: April 23, 2013

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday

Do you remember Bill Withers’ 1977, hit song, Lovely Day?  Not all of the words in this song exactly describes my day but it definitely was a LOVELY DAY!  I took a day off from work so that my son could drop off his car and have it checked and then get to the orthodontist and dentist for treatments.  It was such a lovely day, not only because of the weather but because I got a chance to spend it with my oldest son.  Mothers with teenage and young adult sons know how difficult it can be to get them to spend time with you without complaint, so I took full advantage of it!

We started the day at Delaware Orthodontics in Middletown, this NASCAR-themed office is such a great place for kids of all ages, with video games and a flat screen TV to keep you occupied while in the waiting room.

After leaving the dentist office we stopped at Rugged Wearhouse where I found these pink, Gingham pumps on clearance for $5.00!

For lunch we went to Mickey D’s so I could try the new McWrap that I’ve heard so much about, it wasn’t bad for a fast food sandwich.  I had coupons so it was only $1.00, and Tayair was able to get a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE BigMac sandwich.

It definitely was a lovely day!

I am curious, with the shopping you do, do you donate or get rid of older things or do you have unlimited closet space?

I donate…donate…donate! I have been donating and thrifting from Goodwill since the ’80’s.

I was just wondering if your husband had to build you closets!!

( ° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Nope, as a matter of fact it’s time to start downsizing in anticipation of retirement – lol

I love everything about this outfit! You color coordinate everything so well!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate that.

You’re killing me with that shoe deal! Amazing!

They had them in green but not my size and were marked $7.00, but rang up $5.00 #winning

This has to be my fave outfit of yours ever, Antionette! Just loving the colors and the dots are adorable!!! ~Sarah

Why thank you! I hope you have a lovely day!

Aha we’ve had the McWraps in Europe for years so for once, I won’t be drooling longingly over your mentions of food ! The orthodontist’s looks great – fab idea for kids 🙂

Really? We don’t normally eat fast food but for a buck it was worth it.

I adore those shoes! And I have wondered about those wraps too. I’m glad you got a day with your handsome son. You go Mama.

Yes, it was fun and the wrap wasn’t bad for a buck!

The deal with those beautiful gingham shoes is incredible. Isn’t it awesome when you find such a great bargain?! I’ve never found a pair of heels for that price though. Hopefully your feet are nice and comfy and blister-free 🙂

I love a bargain like that, especially an unexpected one – they are 1/2 size larger so I should be blister free!
