Back to School Shopping

Posted on: August 14, 2013

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday

My youngest will be entering High School as a Senior which means no more standing at the bus stop in the rain…he drives, and no more back to school shopping…he wouldn’t be caught dead shopping with his mother…besides he has his own Debit Card.

His last year in High School is bittersweet but it doesn’t mean I can’t go “Back to School Shopping” and take advantage of the end of the season sales.

I may not be doing this…

back to school 2

But I can do this…

back to school

Which is what I did at TJ Maxx and Burlington Coat Factory!

August Weekend 2 027

Jessica Simpson Wedge Shoes @ TJ Maxx

August Weekend 2 028

Floral Dress – $15.00

August Weekend 2 029

Black & White Stripped Maxi – $19.99

August Weekend 2 031

Unlisted loafers – $19.99

August Weekend 2 033

Bandolino Blue Patent Leather Wedges – $19.99

August Weekend 2 034

I didn’t purchase, but these Bandolino pumps were so comfy @ $24.99

August Weekend 2 036

Leaving TJ Maxx I saw Barbie, a true fashionista, whose skirt and top were purchased at Nzinga’s Boutique.  A perfect outfit to wear out and about running errands or shopping (s/o to Steve aka Ken – lol)

August Weekend 2 037

Next I drove down Naamans Road to Burlington Coat Factory at the Tri State Mall

August Weekend 2 039

Maxi Dress – $14.98

August Weekend 2 038

Floral hi-low dress – $6.98

August Weekend 2 040

Infinity Scarf $5.98

August Weekend 2 041

Infinity Scarf – $4.98

I also purchased a pair of CitiClassifed Pumps ($9.98) and Yellow Evening Bag ($7.98) – I love clearance racks just as much as thrifting!

Next year we will be paying College tuition so there will be no more Back to School Shopping for me, also bittersweet!

Have you done any Back to School shopping or taken advantage of the end of season sales?

Great finds and you shop at my favorite stores. I still have a few years to go, I have a senior and an 8th grader. I shop at those stores because we all love fashion & style.

Yes and for the deals of course!

I love all your thrifty finds! I have not bought much in terms of clothing recently but I did get some cool housewares from my trip to Canada. 🙂

Oh, what did you get?

some vintage pyrex, some fireking, a vintage lamp, a cool linocut (framed), some vintage wall art, a few awesome vintage ashtrays, a vintage candy holder thing.

Ahhhhh so happy my back to school purchases now are relegated to a few things to ship off to the grands 🙂

I have two important ingredients missing in my closet I am realizing after seeing this post….I still don’t own an infinity scarf and a hi-low dress…sigh. Thanks for another great fashion post…have a great weekend.

Yes, I need to send you a scarf as you complimented me on one other – what is your favorite pattern? Not too sure about the hi-low dress, haven’t removed the tags yet – lol

Don’t send me a scarf, I would feel too guilty and would feel like I can’t ever tell you what I like♥ But I sure do love you for the loving thought,
