on:In the Season of Giving – here is a wonderful way to do it. Have a blessed week!
- individual containers of easy-to-open, nonperishable foods
- a bottle of water
- some napkins
- a spoon
- and some hand sanitizer or a small bar of soap.
2. Put the filled bag in your car, tote, or backpack to give away . . . you’ll know when.
3. Repeat. ♥
P.S. This lovely drawstring tote was made by one of the great-great-grandmas in my family. She would be so happy to see its new job!

Ice Cream Sunday ~ 2

on:Hello Friends…I’m back and so did son and I – we went back to Cowgirl’s Creamery and it was definitely worth it. I am not a big sweet-eater especially ice cream, but the thought of having Farm Fresh Hand Dipped Ice Cream for dessert was too hard to resist. So much so that I ate my 2 scoops of Coconut ice cream as I was preparing dinner!
The cows were back in the barn at Emerson Farms but the goats were out at Cowgirl’s.

Farmer’s Famous Fish

Hello Friends, I hope you are having a terrific Tuesday!
Saturday, I had the BEST fish sandwich that I’ve ever eaten in my life and “that’s the truth Ruth!” Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had plenty of good fried fish sandwiches; my cousin in New Rochelle can throw down; my church sells some mean fried fish dinners on Fridays; last year I waited almost an hour for a piece of fried fish at Del State’s homecoming; and I always buy fish sandwiches from Dale United Methodist Church at The Middletown Peach Festival. BUT The Farmer Family, owners of Farmers Famous Fish, can throw down, their fish sandwiches are by far the best I’ve ever tasted!
This ‘old school famous fish fry is located in the corner of the BP parking lot on Routes 896/40 in Glasgow, DE. They will be celebrating their 1st Year Anniversary at this…

on:Hello Friends and Happy Thursday
As per yesterday’s post here are a few more pictures from my day trip to Marlton. It’s was so lovely that is made the drive on the Jersey Turnpike bearable. Unfortunately I lost the sense of serenity when a rainstorm hit driving home! Thankfully, I don’t have allergies
Not sure if these are Black Eye Susans

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
What are your plans for the weekend? As with most of the MidAtlantic area we have had rain and overcast skies all week and it’s supposed to be the same tomorrow and Sunday so there will be no pool lounging. I will however, be lounging around the house, doing a few chores and working on my blog, and maybe take a few naps in between.
Today’s casual Friday outfit is “faux lace” floral jeans from Rugged Wearhouse and a simple cinched waist Faded Glory top from Walmart.
Blending in with the deck pillows!
Cut-out wedges were purchased at Marshalls 2 years ago, never worn
I always have to wear a belt with low-rise jeans
Enjoy your weekend – Smooches!
