OOTD – Gazebo in Glasgow
Posted March 9, 2013
on:Hello Friends, I hope you had a wonderful Saturday!
The weather here was absolutely GORGEOUS and like almost everyone else in town we spent most of the day outdoors. My son and I had a few errands to run which included a stop at Rugged Wearhouse in Glasgow. There’s a gazebo behind one of the medical centers with a lake (and a Home Depot) in the background which made for a good spot to take pictures.
Stripped Shirt – Target // Red Jeans – Ross // Zebra Print Flats – Target
He has a job interview next week and needed a few pair of pants
Necklace – Payless // Watch – Avon // Sunnies – won from a Penny Chic contest
My “no spend in March freeze” technically wasn’t broken because I had a gift card from Christmas…lol
Polka Dot Purse – $19.99 and Red Sandals – $9.99 // Rugged Wearhouse
Have a good night and don’t forget
set the clocks forward an hour before bed – Smooches!

on:Last week while blog hopping I entered a giveaway contest to win a scarf from The Posh’mina. One of the Rafflecopter’s entry requirements was to leave a comment on the company’s Facebook page. After viewing the online shop I chose the Hi’biscus style and commented that I would love to feature it on my blog. Within a matter of hours I received a reply from them with an offer to send one – wow the power of Facebook. (now I need to find a giveaway that offers to pay my bills-lol)
Anywho, a lovely lady by the name of Debbie, also touted as being “Fashionably Fifty” from The Posh’mina contacted me, stated that she liked my blog and would love to send a scarf for me to post. I agreed and said that I would wear it to church taking pictures from there, however, upon receipt I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn’t wait to wear it!
The company’s promo states that they had evolved big scarves to become more fashionable and versatile than ever. I definitely have to agree because of it’s design; the slotted arm holes is by far the best feature. How many times has your pashmina scarf fallen off your arms and onto a dirty floor in a public place? The innovative design of the slotted arm holes prevents this from occurring as well as the constant adjusting and slip sliding from the shoulders.
As like most scarves The Posh’mina can be worn various ways
I love the print of this scarf, the style is Hi’Biscus and there are currently 15 styles available online. Made in India, designed in the United States and are 100% Viscose. Dry cleaning is recommended but I will hand wash in a tub of cool water and Woolite when it needs to be freshened then lightly steamed pressed with an iron.

PRODUCT REVIEW-The Posh’mina Scarf
No offense to @PennyChic but this prize is much better than the XOXO Sunglasses that I won two weeks ago!!!! The amazing thing is, this is the most I’ve ever won at any given time in my entire life – I better play Powerball this month too!
I started watching Eye Opener on Phl17 about a month ago because it was enjoyable news – an oxymoron, but true. I often wondered if I was too “old” to be watching Marlie Hall, Sean, Danielle, Oliver and Nerissa in the morning as opposed to the anchors on NBC10 and The Today Show, but after seeing Larry Mendte and Rose, I knew I wasn’t because they are older than me – sorry guys! It is refreshing to watch a news program that not only provides the latest local and national news and weather but also info on beauty, fashion, food, drinks of the day, car insurance, techie news, Hollywood fluff, and other good stuff. It has become a family affair with my youngest son watching before he leaves for school and my oldest watching as I leave for work. My morning commute is an hour and a 1/2 of non-stop traffic so the last thing I need is to be in the car in a bad mood, but thanks to Eye Opener that never happens.
I was told that over 3000 people entered last week’s contest so I feel blessed to have been chosen a winner. Every day for a week, right before breakfast when the “word of the day” was given, I would write it down on a post-it note and put in my eyeglass case so that I wouldn’t forget to enter it online – an old lady move that paid off!
Thanks Phl17-TV EyeOpener!!!
