Goodwill Deals of the Week

Hello Friends and Happy Tax Day 2013!
I hope you have completed and submitted your taxes and maybe got a refund. Ours were completed last week and thanks in part to the numerous Goodwill donations throughout the year we got a little tax break.
As much as much I love donating to GW Boutiques, thrifting there is much more enjoyable. Last Sunday I went to Goodwill in Middletown, which by the way has been reorganized and looks great. I thrifted a skirt, 2 tops and a pair of new floral jeans for $20.25, and submitted these photos for their Macklemore “Pop The Tag” contest.
Then on Thursday I went to GW Boutique on Concord Pike and thrifted these tops and skirts for $3.75 each and a Kate Spade purse for $4.00. I’m going to assume it’s a designer-inspired purse and if you know how I can determine that, please let me know.

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve
Are you ready for some snow? If so, “tonight is the night…is the night…is the night” at least it’s supposed to be in southern Delaware. Fortunately, they are forecasting less than an inch so the commute home may not be too bad.
Today’s outfit, Black and Burgundy is featuring a pair of Merona pumps and Mossimo belted pencil skirt from last night’s haul at Target.

If you follow me on Instagram (ablake48), you’d know that I start my mornings with a healthy, green, breakfast smoothie. Today’s smoothie was made with spinach, carrots, banana, almond milk and Chia Seeds.
I am so loving these heels, I may stop and get another pair in Taupe!

Polka Dot Black Friday

Hello Friends and Happy Cyber Monday, are you shopping online today? There are a few items that I’d like to get but nothing major so I think I’ll wait until this evening or perhaps even after the holidays for deeper discounts. On Black Friday I didn’t go to the mall instead I went to GW Boutique (Goodwill) in Middletown, it wasn’t crowded so I was able to take my time to find a few items knowing that I would return Saturday for the 50% off sale.

Hello friends and Happy Tuesday. Fall is in full effect even though there are a few 70 degree days on the horizon, today is just not one of them. I’m wearing a Jones New York blazer, one of the many thifted from Goodwill, a pair of plain black pants and a multi-color top. The shoes were purchased last season from Kmart and are so comfortable that I also bought them in grey.

Goodwill Haul x 2

Yesterday I hit up the Goodwill stores in Thorndale and Chadds Ford, PA. The clerks were busily filling the racks with Spring and Summer wear and I was able to snag a few items to add to my wardrobe. Today I am taking a box to the Goodwill in Middletown because for everything I bring home, I remove something from my closet and donate.
I’ve decided to take pictures while in the store even though other customers look at me like…”who is she and why is she taking pictures”, it makes me feel like Re’gine in the episode of “Living Single” when she pulled together an outfit while working at “Le Rag Bin” for the soap opera “Palo Alto” – Smooches!
