Hello Friends, I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!
As an Avon Independent Sales Rep I probably have more cosmetics than I need but I like trying new products so that I can spread the word to my customers or answer any questions they may have. I don’t particualarly like to spend a lot of money on makeup and usually stick to an under $5.00 price point but I was curious about the new Mega Effects Mascara.
The $10 cost made me a bit apprehensive as well as the fact that it looked a little more complicated to apply and I don’t have a lot of time in the morning, but I bit the bullet and ordered it. The first morning I tried it I ended up poking myself in the eye and getting smudges on my lower lashes, I was trying to use it like a traditional brush.
The WonderBrush handle is like a mini paint brush that is adjustable, and is shaped to fit the natural curve of your lashes.
I am going to be honest and say that it took two mornings for me to become comfortable in using it but now it’s just as quick to apply as any other mascara. It provides great volume, there’s no clumping, and it’s easy to remove at night.
This was definitely worth the price.
Milani Makeup Sale at Kmart

on:Hello friends, I hope your day was stress free and you are now home relaxing comfortably in anticipation of next week’s madness! I do not shop on “Black Friday” but I do like to look for bargains the week before Thanksgiving. Today I stopped in at Kmart in Exton, PA and found several bins containing the summer line of various cosmetics, including Milani and Wet n Wild. I’ve never used Milani but have heard good things from YouTube Vloggers so for the price I decided to pick up a few products.
Milani Lip Sticks were $2.50, purchased Creamy Cocoa, Fushia Freeze and Orange Gina.
Milani Lip Glosses were $2.00
Milani Eyeshadows were $3.00, purchased Fusion, Intermix and Drench in Gold
Milani Nail Art was $2.00, purchased Art of Gold
Wet n Wild Bronzer was $1.49, purchased Princess 741A
Wet n Wild Foundation/Primer was $2.99, purchased Medium
I saved a few dollars and added to my cosmetic collection which is always a good thing.
Have a great night – Smooches
Toilet Seat Cover For Your Face

on:Hello friends, I hope you are having a productive and stress free day. I meant to post this DIY during the summer, the pictures have been on my iPad for months. If like me you have oily skin or get the “afternoon glow” on your T-Zone, just grab a toilet seat cover and make some blotting cloths.
Cut into small squares to be stored in a plastic bag, envelop or business card holder
Blot T-Zone

I needed to blot more but you get the idea – lol
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

on:No makeup, heels or jewelry, only shorts/tanks, sandals and a bathing suit for 5 wonderful, sun-filled days. Whether it’s called a VACATION or STAYCATION, living “the Life of Riley” is a beautiful thing. Sleeping in late; eating breakfast on the back deck; poolside lounging; laughing with and loving family and friends was the perfect way to spend the long July 4th Holiday. It was also the first time that we did not go out to watch fireworks, I did however, watch Wawa Welcome America and loved Lauryn Hill’s surprise performance. I was also able to watch more of the Twilight Zone Marathon, “Time Enough At Last” with Burgess Meredith is my favorite episode! I did do a little yard work and paid the price with my annual case of poison ivy – oh how I hate the itch!!!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend and now it’s back to reality!
