Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
Well we made it through another week and for that I am thankful. It was a roller coaster of events with all the strange things happening in the world. I continue to pray for the 3 kidnapped victims in Cleveland and no matter what he did in his past, Charles Ramsey, you are definitely to be commended for being at the right place at the right time – thank you bro!
The heat is on so I chose to wear a skirt instead of jeans as I normally do on casual Fridays.
Maxi skirt – Old Navy (last season) // Top – Rugged Wearhouse
Gladiator Sandals – DSW
I hope the temps remain high as the pool is scheduled to be opened next week!
Watch – Avon // Ring & Bracelets – jewelry box // nails be be done this afternoon!
Linking up with The Friday Chaos Blog Hop – come on over and join in on the fun!
Have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!
New Year Mani & Pedi

on:Hello Friends and Happy 1st Day of the New Year 2013.
Last night I stayed up until 3:00 am watching The Twilight Zone Marathon so today slept in until noon. I love the first day of the year because it’s perfect for laying back and relaxing. I purchased a Foot Bath from Walmart last week, it was half price and something that I really needed. To the warm water I added Lavender Epson Salt purchased from Dollar Tree and a few drops of aromatherapy oil which made it even more relaxing.
Instead of polishing my nails, I chose to use Sally Hansen Salon effects Polish Strips. The pattern is “Skinny Jeans” and was on clearance at Walgreens for $2.49. I have tried other brands but have found Salon Effects to be the easiest to install and lasts the longest.

It seems like nail art is once again very popular – as the saying goes, “Everything Old Is New Again”.
This is a picture of my nail art from my wedding day 22 years ago! I requested my manicurist to add the pearls which he did by gluing and placing each one individually. It was done a few days before the wedding and lasted well past our week long honeymoon in Cancun.
You’ll notice that hubby also had a manicure (pedicure and facial) which was my gift to him and his groomsmen.
