Wearing White After Labor Day

Do you have a White After Labor Day Outfit?

Growing up I used to hear people say that you should never ever wear white after Labor Day. Growing up we didn’t have many clothes so I probably didn’t have enough white outfits to wear the entire summer let alone carry over past Labor Day.

Now the older I get the quicker the seasons seem to change and the larger my wardrobe grows. I don’t know about you, but I never get a chance to wear all of my summer outfits in the summer months. Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but September 21st is the actual date so I will continue to wear white until then and maybe perhaps even into Fall.

Hubby took my pics this morning – he makes me smile – I love him so!
This top has been hanging in my closet for as long as I can remember
Oh and you know my toes stay open until it snows!

Summer Shorts Haul from Goodwill

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
After all the cleaning of the closets I realized that I still didn’t have a decent pair of summer shorts. Â I also needed wanted a white denim skirt to wear with a pair of blue and white Polka Dot flats. Â Not wanting to pay retail because I can’t wear shorts to work I instead headed to the GW Boutique in Exton.
I hadn’t been to this location in almost a year and it had definitely changed. Â They expanded into the vacant shoe store next door to make it larger with a better footprint.
I found a white denim skirt in the first 5 minutes – #winning
Next were the shorts – #winning
3 pair for the price of one in the store!!!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
This is the last full week of April, can you believe that this time next week it will be May 3rd and Memorial Day will be on the calendar? Â So many things happened this week, some of them good others not so much but I shall not dwell on the negative. Â Life is so unpredictable, one day everything is “Peachy Keen” and then next your world is turned upside down. Â I believe that all of us, at one point in our lives has wanted something that someone else had, whether is was as a child or an adult, Â as a sibling, a parent or friend, Â and then we realize that “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side”.
Has that ever happened to you?
Last evening, hubby and I attended a”Green Tie Friendraiser“ at The Chase Center on the Riverfront hosted by The Delaware Financial Literacy Institute.  It was wonderful event for a worthy cause and I will provide more details in a separate post.  During the evening we met some great people and had a chance to unwind and mingle after a long day at work.  I was also presented with a fantastic opportunity which I will reveal later once I get more information.
 It was a wonderful way to jump start the weekend and I hope you all have a happy and safe one!
