Vacation Day in May
Posted May 30, 2013
on:Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
Today was a fantastic day, this morning it was sunny with temps in the high 80’s and I was on vacation hanging with my oldest son. There were a few things that we needed to get done including him renewing his driver’s license. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already and next month he’ll be celebrating his 21st birthday – God is Good!
All that closet cleaning Saturday and I could not find one pair of decent shorts…oh well, time to hit up GW Boutique this weekend! I decided to wear an old pair of capris instead of a sundress and found them to be just as comfortable.
What are you most comfortable in during the heat of the summer?
Top (old) Avon // Sandals – Rugged Wearhouse
Multitasking as usual with mobile and iPad
Glasgow County Park was filled with walkers and joggers but I was just there for the scenery
Changed into flats from DSW
Gazebo in Glasgow
After a doc appointment I stopped in at Rugged Wearhouse and saw some of the cutest purses, but resisted the urge to make a purchase! It was a good vacation day in May.
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
TGIF, this week has been such an emotional roller coaster that I am looking forward to just kicking back, relaxing and reflecting on our many blessings. I am also looking forward to cleaning out the bottom of my closet and under the beds. Spring is officially here so now it’s time to put away the winter shoes and boots and bring out the sandals. I stopped at Target yesterday to pick up a few groceries and of course made a quick detour through the shoe department. No shoe haul this time but my little eyes did spy several pairs of shoes on clearance that are on my wish list. I also checked out the the Kate Young Collection, this celebrity stylist’s glam collection includes jewelry, handbags and shoes ranging in prices from $15.00 to $90.00.
The only pair that I added to wish list were these yellow cork sandals on sale for $24.99
clearance ankle strap sandals and wedges
Mossimo Color Block Sandals – $19.99
Lonely Prabal Gurung dress on the clearance rack
Target’s BOGO Sale

on:Hello Friends, I hope your week ended well and you are now home safe and sound. After work I stopped at Tar’Jay to make a return and of course took a detour to the shoe department. Winter is not yet over and the North East is being hit with a major snowstorm, however, retailers are busily stocking their shelves with Spring apparel.
Target is having a BUY 1 GET 1 50% OFF on their shoes and accessories and my tootsies were getting excited in anticipation of being free again. The details on Mossimo shoes are getting much better, check out some of the latest styles currently on display.
There were still a few clearance items on the shelves including boots which will be needed for at least another month. However, the Cap Toe heels and loafers were no longer available and most likely were shipped to Goodwill stores in the area. Target, being a good Corporate Citizen donates a lot of their unsold merchandise directly to Goodwill where even better deals can be had.
Enjoy the rest of your evening – Smooches!
Not your Grandmother’s Avon

on:I’m not sure if you’ve seen an Avon catalog lately and if not, here’s just a taste of what you’ve been missing. As an Independent Sales Rep for Avon for over 15 years I’ve seen many changes all of them good. Avon is a company that has been in business for 125 years and has changed with the times without sacrificing the quality of their products, however, it is no longer your grandmother’s Avon – check it out.

OOTD – Avalanche Attire

on:Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay – Fri-Yay – Fri-Yay!!
Our local forecast was way off, we only got a few flakes early this morning and now the sun is shining on this a beautiful crisp Winter’s day. What are your plans for the weekend, will you be doing something fun outdoors? Not me, tomorrow I’ll be stuck inside my closet thanks to a mini avalanche that occurred last night.
Less than a minute after hanging up a shirt the top rack came crashing down taking down the one beneath it as well. Thankfully I had just stepped back otherwise I could have been hit in the head with falling purses! (don’t laugh, it was a hard hat zone!) I could only just look up and stare, hubby said, “you have too many clothes” – bite your tongue man! He offered to re-do my closet with sturdier material so tonight off to Lowes we go. I wish my closet looked like his…..
and not like this!!!!
Today’s outfit was born out of the chaos in my closet. The scarf which was hidden on a shelf along with the boy’s baby blankets and box of teeth – (what do you do with baby teeth?) was the palette. Most of my shoes are covered underneath all those shirts so I am wearing a pair of the loafers I just bought from Target. They were still in the spare bedroom and had never made it into the closet along with these purple jeans.
Scarf – closet staple // Sleeveless shirt – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Cardigan – Walmart // Skinny Jeans – Citi Trends // Loafers – Mossimo via Target // Ring – MizOutlet.com // Bracelets and Earrings – Jewelry Box
All in all I think I made the chaos work for this casual Friday – what do you think?
Linking up with Casual Chic Mom, You Like Me! and perfect for today FRIDAY CHAOS with ohsoamelia – hop on over and meet some new bloggers.
Have a great afternoon – Smooches!
