Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
What are your plans for the weekend? As with most of the MidAtlantic area we have had rain and overcast skies all week and it’s supposed to be the same tomorrow and Sunday so there will be no pool lounging. I will however, be lounging around the house, doing a few chores and working on my blog, and maybe take a few naps in between.
Today’s casual Friday outfit is “faux lace” floral jeans from Rugged Wearhouse and a simple cinched waist Faded Glory top from Walmart.
Blending in with the deck pillows!
Cut-out wedges were purchased at Marshalls 2 years ago, never worn
I always have to wear a belt with low-rise jeans
Enjoy your weekend – Smooches!
OOTD – Casual Friday

on:Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
To all my friends in the New England territory I hope you are ready for the Nor’easter and that you’ll stay safe indoors this weekend. I’m sure there will be several changes and cancellations of events for New York’s Fashion Week activities. The parade in New Rochelle that was scheduled Saturday to celebrate Ray Rice and The Ravens’ Super Bowl win was postponed until March 2nd.
We are getting rain with a chance of flurries beginning around midnight with little to no accumulation I don’t mind snowstorms that occur on the weekends late a night because we are safe indoors and not on the road with the crazies.
My son wasn’t too happy taking the pics this morning which is puzzling because I was the one standing out in the rain!
I was playing around with the photo editing with PhotoScape which I like better than PicMonkey and Pixl.
Today for Casual Friday I am channeling my inner MJ with the Fedora and Mary Tyler Moore throwing it into the air but those pics didn’t come out too well!
Outfit today are all closet staples, blue skinny jeans , cardigan and striped top // Pashima – Boscov’s // Mossimo boots thrifted new – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Arm Candy and Rings – jewelry box
Long leather coat belonged to my lil sis Gloria – RIP my Angel
Linking up today with Two Thirty-Five Designs & A Mommy’s Blog – hop over and meet some new bloggers!
Have a fantabulous afternoon!
OOTD – Rainy Days and Tuesdays
Posted September 4, 2012
on:Breathe in through the nose….blow out through the mouth….again….breathe in through the nose….hold it….hold it….now….breathe out pushing hard… Whew – I love shortened work weeks but sometimes it can be a bit much especially since I was also off last Friday and will be off again this Thursday. Last Monday’s post was entitled “Rainy Days and Mondays”, and a tribute to The Carpenters, today’s post is “Rainy Days and Tuesdays” a tribute to Summer 2012. If you live on the East coast, one thing we can all agree upon is that Summer 2012 was extremely hot AND Summer 2012 went by extremely too fast! I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time poolside and even lucked out on Friday and got one last day before the weather turned. There probably won’t be anymore 90 degree, lazy, hazy pool days this month and next month I will have the pool closed. The rain is supposed to continue here until Thursday and I hope it’s the same forecast in Charlotte, North Carolina. President Obama’s acceptance speech is outdoors and it would be terrible for people to be standing outside in the rain, so prayers going up for good weather!
I am wearing another shift dress from Burlington Coat Factory, which I love because it can be worn all seasons by simply adding a blazer or cardigan in the fall and then tights and boots in the winter.
Toes are going to stay out until it starts to snow – sike! These Fioni shoes were purchased last year from Payless and are very comfortable. Bracelet and earrings are jewelry box staples, the ring is my birthstone, Sapphire – September…Virgo….yeah!!! Necklace purchased over the weekend from Rugged Wearhouse for $1.49!!!!
Although we didn’t leave town or go on vacation this summer, I must admit that it was very nice to have mini staycations because it allowed me to spend quality time with my men. Looking forward to cooler temps and beautiful colors of fall. Have a fantabulous day and stay dry!
Apple Bottoms purse was also purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory
This spring it seemed like it rained everyday and now at the end of the summer we are having a drought. Farmers across the country are having difficulty irrigating their crops and we will see price increases in the fall.
Today’s forecast was for heavy rains and thunderstorms and God didn’t disappoint. “He may not come when you want him, but he’s always right on time!”. Hopefully today’s rains helped with the crops throughout the state.
My outfit is a dress that was purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory as well as the shoes from Payless. My purse also a few years old is from either TJMaxx or Marshall’s.

This post and pics are via my iPad and it took a minute to get used to it. I hope everyone had a fantastic day and that it continues as you slumber the night away!
