The best day of the work week!
One of my Friday night rituals is to stop at Pockets Discount Liquors in New Castle for a bottle of Barefoot Sweet Red wine. This evening was no exception, however, tonight they were hosting a taste testing. Shannon Heinz, proprietor of Schnizzie Vodka was providing samples of her newly released Sparkling Vodka Cocktail. Schnizzie is an all natural, sparkling cocktail made with premium vodka infused with real strawberries, distilled from sugar cane and sweetened with light agave nectar. It is gluten free and made in New York, my sample was poured over ice but can be consumed chilled without ice.
Schnizzie is the first Sparkling Vodka Cocktail on the market but the quality can be compared to Ciroc or Van Gogh Vodka. Shannon has had several taste testings throughout the state and more information can be found on her Facebook page, http://www.Facebook.com/schnizzie. Packaged in a cellophane bag makes it a perfect holiday gift or in my case a great drink while decorating the house.
