Wearing White After Labor Day

Do you have a White After Labor Day Outfit?

Growing up I used to hear people say that you should never ever wear white after Labor Day. Growing up we didn’t have many clothes so I probably didn’t have enough white outfits to wear the entire summer let alone carry over past Labor Day.

Now the older I get the quicker the seasons seem to change and the larger my wardrobe grows. I don’t know about you, but I never get a chance to wear all of my summer outfits in the summer months. Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but September 21st is the actual date so I will continue to wear white until then and maybe perhaps even into Fall.

Hubby took my pics this morning – he makes me smile – I love him so!
This top has been hanging in my closet for as long as I can remember
Oh and you know my toes stay open until it snows!

OOTD – Avon and Animal Print

Hello Friends and Happy Monday
Today’s outfit is the Avon color block dress which was first featured in this May 2012 post, wow, time sure does fly by! Â This time I decided to pair it with a little animal print from the matching earring & necklace set to the shoes and small pouch which was a DIY project.
This small canvas pouch was covered with surplus fabric using a hot glue gun. Â It’s a perfect size to carry a wallet, cell phone and keys.
The lucite earrings and necklace set was purchased at Jewelrymax.com and the lucite rings from Burlington Coat Factory

OOTD – Trees & Target on Tax Day

Hello Friends, I hope you had a great weekend and an enjoyable tax-free Monday!
I woke up this morning thinking it was Sunday.  The weekend came and went with such quickness that I though we should have had one more day free from work, but no such luck!  We did manage to get some yard work done before the heat returns because it is not fun pulling weeds and trimming trees in intense heat.  I love this time of year with all the flora blooming but it reeks havoc on my son and his seasonal allergies.  This was my grandmother’s favorite tree and every Spring she’d look outside and say, “Toni, did you take a picture of that tree” – I do miss her so!
Mama, here’s a picture of that tree.
These trees are on the side of the house, they bloom then change green in about 2 weeks.

Summer 2012 is officially over and today was a beautifully warm day. Saying goodbye to summer…so long September, see ya next year you will be missed. Smooches!!
