Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
After all the cleaning of the closets I realized that I still didn’t have a decent pair of summer shorts. I also needed wanted a white denim skirt to wear with a pair of blue and white Polka Dot flats. Not wanting to pay retail because I can’t wear shorts to work I instead headed to the GW Boutique in Exton.
I hadn’t been to this location in almost a year and it had definitely changed. They expanded into the vacant shoe store next door to make it larger with a better footprint.
I found a white denim skirt in the first 5 minutes – #winning
Next were the shorts – #winning

3 pair for the price of one in the store!!!
Couldn’t pass up the Polka Dots
Can never have too many shift dresses!

OOTD – Shifting Gears

on:Hello friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday. I am still playing catch up after a busy yet fun filled 3 day-weekend. I was off on Friday so after my mammogram I went to the nail salon and then to Rugged Wearhouse for gear to wear to Sunday’s Breast Cancer Awareness walk. Saturday was Homecoming at my Alma Mater Delaware State University, the classes of the ’80’s were in full force, I saw people that I hadn’t seen since graduating in 1983. The icing on the cake was the beautiful weather for the entire weekend – God is truly good!

OOTD – Rainy Days and Tuesdays

on:Breathe in through the nose….blow out through the mouth….again….breathe in through the nose….hold it….hold it….now….breathe out pushing hard… Whew – I love shortened work weeks but sometimes it can be a bit much especially since I was also off last Friday and will be off again this Thursday. Last Monday’s post was entitled “Rainy Days and Mondays”, and a tribute to The Carpenters, today’s post is “Rainy Days and Tuesdays” a tribute to Summer 2012. If you live on the East coast, one thing we can all agree upon is that Summer 2012 was extremely hot AND Summer 2012 went by extremely too fast! I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time poolside and even lucked out on Friday and got one last day before the weather turned. There probably won’t be anymore 90 degree, lazy, hazy pool days this month and next month I will have the pool closed. The rain is supposed to continue here until Thursday and I hope it’s the same forecast in Charlotte, North Carolina. President Obama’s acceptance speech is outdoors and it would be terrible for people to be standing outside in the rain, so prayers going up for good weather!
I am wearing another shift dress from Burlington Coat Factory, which I love because it can be worn all seasons by simply adding a blazer or cardigan in the fall and then tights and boots in the winter.
Toes are going to stay out until it starts to snow – sike! These Fioni shoes were purchased last year from Payless and are very comfortable. Bracelet and earrings are jewelry box staples, the ring is my birthstone, Sapphire – September…Virgo….yeah!!! Necklace purchased over the weekend from Rugged Wearhouse for $1.49!!!!
Although we didn’t leave town or go on vacation this summer, I must admit that it was very nice to have mini staycations because it allowed me to spend quality time with my men. Looking forward to cooler temps and beautiful colors of fall. Have a fantabulous day and stay dry!
Apple Bottoms purse was also purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory
OOTD – Heading to Church

on:God’s morning, I hope your week started off well and that you are having a wonderful day. To church I wore this multi print shift dress purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory. I took a light weight cardigan because I was taught that when seated your dress should fall over your knees, if not, make sure you have something to cover them – gotta love old skool teachings!
