OOTD – Glori-ous Day
Posted April 10, 2013
on:Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
Today would have been my sister’s 50th birthday and as kids I would call her “Glori” , so what could have been a gloomy day turned out to be a Glori-ous one, my Angel still shines brightly – Rest In Heaven Glori!
It took a little longer to get dressed this morning because I’m still not wearing heels and the weather forecast called for temps in the 80’s . As much as I wanted to break out the summer gear I held back. Decided on this thrifted polka dot skirt from GW Boutique, red sleeveless top from Ross or TJ Maxx/Marshalls and Red Stripped Wedge shoes from Avon.
Silver Accessories from my jewelry box

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
April is a month of renewal and rebirth and for many years one of excitement and joy – a cousin’s birthday on the 1st; my grandmother’s birthday on the 2nd; my sister’s birthday on the 10th; another cousin’s birthday on the 12th; an uncle’s birthday on the 15th; an aunt’s birthday on the 19th and finally my ‘best friend since 3rd grade’s’ birthday on the 25th.
Now April is a month of death – my grandmother’s death; my sister’s death; and my uncle’s death makes this a sad month for me. I look at the blooms on the Daffodils and Tulips with sadness in my eyes…my daily routines are muted…there’s no real joy in my heart…dark colors comfort me…my heart aches and my smiles seem forced…but life goes on and “This Too Shall Pass”.

OOTD – Foggy Monday
Posted March 11, 2013
on:Hello Friends and Happy DST Monday!
Woke up thinking it would be a bright and sunny Pre-Spring day, instead it was a dark and damp foggy morning, oh well at least I woke up a lot of people didn’t! (Blessed). The day started out much like most people’s heads…a little foggy, why don’t we abolish Daylight Savings Time, it’s original purpose is no longer valid, what do you think?
Driving in fog is dangerous yet some people feel the need to speed which makes it even worse, unfortunately 6 teenagers lost their lives in Ohio due excessive speeding – God rest their souls! (News Report)
Which brings me to another reason why I don’t like car shopping for my son’s, too many young people die in car crashes. As most of you know my lil sis, Gloria was killed in a car crash in 1992, she was only 29, and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her!
Shake it off … shake it off… sorry, didn’t mean to bring you down!
Let’s clear the way for the outfit of the day.
Black Pencil Skirt – Boscov’s // Colorful Top – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Animal Print Pumps – DSW // Dooney & Burke Purse – closet staple // Ring and Bracelet – Mizoutlet.com
What do you think about these pumps with this outfit – should I have worn the green cap-toe pumps from Target?
One good thing about Daylight Savings Time it will be a sunshine filled commute home!

OOTD – Casual Friday
Posted February 8, 2013
on:Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
To all my friends in the New England territory I hope you are ready for the Nor’easter and that you’ll stay safe indoors this weekend. I’m sure there will be several changes and cancellations of events for New York’s Fashion Week activities. The parade in New Rochelle that was scheduled Saturday to celebrate Ray Rice and The Ravens’ Super Bowl win was postponed until March 2nd.
We are getting rain with a chance of flurries beginning around midnight with little to no accumulation I don’t mind snowstorms that occur on the weekends late a night because we are safe indoors and not on the road with the crazies.
My son wasn’t too happy taking the pics this morning which is puzzling because I was the one standing out in the rain!
I was playing around with the photo editing with PhotoScape which I like better than PicMonkey and Pixl.
Today for Casual Friday I am channeling my inner MJ with the Fedora and Mary Tyler Moore throwing it into the air but those pics didn’t come out too well!
Outfit today are all closet staples, blue skinny jeans , cardigan and striped top // Pashima – Boscov’s // Mossimo boots thrifted new – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Arm Candy and Rings – jewelry box
Long leather coat belonged to my lil sis Gloria – RIP my Angel
