OOTD – Inspired By Kela’s Kloset
Posted March 6, 2013
on:Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Today’s outfit was inspired by an Instagram picture from Kela’s Kloset, a fashion blogger whom I admire and follow because of her great sense of style. She like myself has vowed to shop our closet for the month of March, me because gas is too damn high. I’m always checking the blogs for ideas and to get inspiration for refashioning items that I already own and this is today’s.
You know how much I love my sleeveless shift dresses, well instead of wearing a cardigan or blazer over it, I’m wearing a print top underneath.
From where do you get your outfit inspirations ~ Instagram or Pinterest?

Snow is in the forecast this afternoon starting at 4:00 pm, just in time for my evening commute so I chose to wear an old pair of boots and to accessorize with silver jewelry

OOTD – I Love OLIVES

on:Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
Yeah yeah yeah, we are on the down stroke to the weekend! I really have to stop rushing my life away, every day is a new day to be cherished and savored, but ding dang dong it – I LOVE THE WEEKENDS!!!
I also love OLIVES, I love the color OLIVE and I love the vegetable… or is it a fruit…OLIVES …hey…in what food group is an OLIVE?
I do know that olives are a staple in the Mediterranean diet which has been scientifically confirmed that it reduces the risk of stroke and other cardiovascular diseases by 30 percent and is great for people trying to lose weight. I only cook with light Virgin Olive Oil, have used it as a hair care product and if I drank Martinis I would do it only for the OLIVES!

OOTD – Winter Wednesday
Posted January 23, 2013
on:Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
Being outside this morning was a little more bearable because of the lack of wind however, the temps are forecast to remain in the teens until at least the weekend. To that end, I would like to say to all of my left coast friends …”STOP COMPLAINING BECAUSE IT’S 40 DEGREES!!!“
I truly don’t mind the cold weather because it allows me to dress in layers and then make adjustments as necessary. For example today I am wearing a sleeveless grey dress covered with a blazer so if I have a “personal summer” I can simply remove the blazer until it passes.
This outfit started with shoes but in the sunshine the tights took on a weird greenish tint so I changed to my OTK, black suede boots.
This black faux fur once belonged to my sister so you know it’s been around since the late 80’s – I really don’t like driving in it because of the bulk.
Dress and Boots- Ross // Blazer – Value City // Shoes and Tights – Kmart // Necklace – Traci Lynn // Ring – Flea Market Vendor // Earrings – Icings // Bracelet – jewelry box
Did you notice anything different about my wardrobe descriptions today?

Dresses For Less
Posted July 24, 2012
on:Now is the perfect time to take advantage of the end of the season sales and clearance racks. Sleeveless dresses can easily transition into the fall by simply adding a jacket or blazer. Throw on an over sized knit sweater, change from open toe sandals to tights and boots and the dress can be worn well into the winter months. Here are a few dresses that I found at Ross for $12.99, and Burlington Coat Factory for $16.99, some of which will definitely be worn during the cooler months.
