Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!

Today was a fantastic day, this morning it was sunny with temps in the high 80’s and I was on vacation hanging with my oldest son.  There were a few things that we needed to get done including him renewing his driver’s license.  I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already and next month he’ll be celebrating his 21st birthday – God is Good!

All that closet cleaning Saturday and I could not find one pair of decent shorts…oh well, time to hit up GW Boutique this weekend!  I decided to wear an old pair of capris instead of a sundress and found them to be just as comfortable.

Hello Friends and Happy Mother’s Day 2013!

Sending love to all the moms, mom-moms, nana’s, grandma’s, aunties, cousins, and friends on this beautiful Mother’s Day.  Mine was nice and it started with breakfast in bed, hubby made me chicken and waffles with coffee and fruit then we stayed in bed watching a Hazel marathon on Antenna TV.  This afternoon my sons took me to Ruby Tuesday for an early dinner, which is now our tradition because that is where they took me last year.

Today 5  7 is my husband’s 57th birthday!

Birthday_banner

What did I get him?

NOTHING

Why?

Because for the past 25 years nothing that I’ve ever given him was good enough!

I am a CHEAP frugal shopper so he’s never used a single item that I’ve given him including gift certificates/cards.

Actually seven years ago I started giving him single dollar bills, and no not for what you’re thinking!  I would give him a dollar for each year starting with a pack of 50.  Most times he’d spend it on the boys, but this year he’s not even getting that because we just spent a bunch of money to replace the engine in Tayair’s old car to give to Malik.  Of course we had to assign the car to him and because he had an accident last month it’s costing us an additional $350 month, therefore, no one gets any birthday money this or next year!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday

The car search for #1 son is over, and not a moment too soon, “Miranda” his 2002 Elantra was taken in for service Monday and unfortunately won’t be coming back – so sad too bad!  Her replacement is a Silver 2005 Honda Civic from Wolf’s Elite Autos in Stanton.  I  pulled a CarFax report and it had a high rating, 2 previous owners, and the outside is nice with only 1 small ding.  The inside is clean but the locks and windows are manual!  Can you believe they were making vehicles in the 2000’s with manual windows and locks, it was hilarious, but the price was excellent and Honda has a good reputation.

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!

Why do we use the phrase, “smile, say cheese” when taking pictures…”CHEESE” really, isn’t there another word in the English language that makes you wanna smile?

#1 son is my photographer and all he does is point and shoot, he never tells me to say “cheese” or “smile or even “hold in your stomach” (which is obvious in these pics), so this morning I decided not to smile and this is what we got.
