Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
For this post I asked a co-worker to take the pictures in order to give my sons a break. Sometimes they complain even though I provide them with food, shelter, water and lots of love!
As you know I work in West Chester, PA, and similar to the Marlton office it is surrounded by greenery which makes for a better background than my backyard.
This outfit was simple black and white, a classic combination.
Zebra Print on the shoes, tank and bracelets
Skirt was thrifted from GW Boutique
Comfy Zebra Print Wedges from Charlotte Russe (last season)
Linking up with Thrifters Anonymous – who by the way chose me as “The Thrifters Anonymous Member of the week!” – Thank you Shana!
I hope you have a fantastical day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I’ve been MIA due to a snafu with GoDaddy for Web Hosting and the transferring of my domain – things just didn’t go well so I’m back! Today is the end of the work week for me because tomorrow is the HOLIDAY – YAY and we are closed on Friday.
What are your plans for Independence Day? I haven’t made any yet because of the weather, it has been raining since Sunday. I hope the sun will make an appearance at least one day this weekend so I can fire up the grill and lounge poolside.
Tuesday’s outfit was totally thrifted from GW Boutique.
Tank, Belt and Capris – Goodwill
Flats – GW Boutique
Channeling Patty Duke!
If you are heading out today, drive safely and traveling mercies – Smooches!
Shopping in Dover

on:On Friday, after Tayair and I left the cemetery we stopped at Spencer’s Bazaar Flea Market and then Rodney Village Shopping Center. There will be a separate post for Spencer’s Bazaar that features unique items made and sold by a high school friend. Our next stop was to the Goodwill store where Gloria once worked before she passed. I walked around for almost 30 minutes and could not find anything, eventually I found a belt for $1.00. Within the shopping center which is really a strip mall there was Beauty Max, a large beauty supply store. Hubby needed new hair clippers and I was looking for a “weekend wig”. After finding a cute FreeTress unit on clearance for $19.99, a lace front, the hair clippers and some nail polish we decided to head home.
As we were leaving I noticed a store called Citi Trends, I had never heard of it but decided to stop in and check it out. The clothing was along the lines of urban gear for the younger crowd, but I found a cute pencil skirt, a cuff bracelet and a spike ring. (posted on Instagram @ablake48). Tayair wasn’t interested in anything but I knew Malik would be, so on Saturday I let him drive us back down to check it out. While he shopped I took time to look around and ended up getting these shoes and dresses. Malik wore the Canvas Lace Ups and watch to school which is probably why he was so anxious on going today.
Malik’s Purchases
Purchased this FreeTress Wig (Lyon Girl) for $19.99
