Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
Hubby’s day was nice and I want to thank you for all the birthday well wishes. I didn’t get the Walgreen’s Gift Card but did cook a wonderful meal, we had baked salmon, stuffed clams, steamed potatoes and coleslaw, dessert was a Lemon Meringue Pie which is his favorite.
I had hoped for warmer weather to wear this sleeveless BisouBisou Peplum top, but it’s a rainy drab day so I added a lightweight cardigan.

1st Year Blogiversary
Posted February 9, 2013
on:February 9th is the 1st year Blogiversary of DeDivahDeals!
I began my journey on Blogspot.com with this post (here) …BORING…a single picture of two bottles of Sally Hansen nail polish and 3 packs of Salon effects clearly marked for clearance from Walgreens…no descriptions…nothing…comments…none…just crickets – oh what a difference a year makes.
The first post to receive a comment and a “like“ was 40 days later, “Goodwill Deals – Gucci from the 90’s” from Lesley Carter of Bucket List Publications and my girlfriend Wanda, that stroked my ego so I continued purchasing and posting.
As time progressed I read and learned more and found my niche, but more importantly I realized the most rewarding aspect of blogging was the interaction between great virtual friends and followers.
In your own way, each of you have touched my heart and filled a void in such a glorious way that I could never truly express how I feel, so please accept my heart felt THANK YOU…a SMOOCH…and this big ole bag of MONEY…spend it wisely!
Tonight was the premier of “Night at the W” and I attended the festivities at Walgreens store #11055 in Middletown. Without fanfare, paparazzi or flashing bulbs I made a grand entrance through the automatic doors and was greeted by the ever smiling and radiant sales associate Anna Marie (silly me).
Tim Gunn’s “The Red Carpet Guide to Glamour” featured Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss, Clump Crusher Mascara and Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm; Pantene Pro-V AgeDefy Hair Treatment; Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips and Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo. The arrangements showcased each product along with money saving coupons.
I purchased a bottle of Covergirl Outlast Nail Gloss and look forward to tomorrow night’s mani/pedi. I hope you to had an opportunity to attend this evening’s exciting event at your local Walgreens, but if not, check it out before your next “Red Carpet Event” – Smooches!
This morning on EyeOpenerTV there was a featured interview with Tim Gunn of Project Runway. He is partnering with Walgreens in introducing “Night At The W”, an exclusive cosmetic event being held Thursday, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the stores. I was curious and wanted more information so after work I stopped at my local Walgreens in Middletown. My favorite store associate, Anna Marie was busily working the department, which as usual was fully stocked and neatly organized. The new displays provided an upscale look with a clean and inviting layout, there definitely will be a lot of activity at this “Get Ready For The Red Carpet” event on Thursday.
Of course I am always on the look out for those orange, clearance stickers and tonight I spied Sally Hansen Salon Effects and Nail Polish on sale. I am really looking forward to Thursday night and along with my Walgreens Rewards card I think I will come out a winner.
