Wearing White After Labor Day

Do you have a White After Labor Day Outfit?

Growing up I used to hear people say that you should never ever wear white after Labor Day. Growing up we didn’t have many clothes so I probably didn’t have enough white outfits to wear the entire summer let alone carry over past Labor Day.

Now the older I get the quicker the seasons seem to change and the larger my wardrobe grows. I don’t know about you, but I never get a chance to wear all of my summer outfits in the summer months. Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but September 21st is the actual date so I will continue to wear white until then and maybe perhaps even into Fall.

Hubby took my pics this morning – he makes me smile – I love him so!
This top has been hanging in my closet for as long as I can remember
Oh and you know my toes stay open until it snows!

Woohoo the weekend is here….well almost…in a few hours…really really soon!
Check out the Dollar Tree Dome that I bought yesterday, and with all the rolls of ribbon I have in stock I can make this puppy match almost every outfit in my wardrobe!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
3.13.13 and it’s still Winter but Spring is right around the corner and I’m frantically trying to wear as many of my winter clothes before it’s officially over!
You may remember when I wore this skirt with brown booties in November (here), but today I chose to wear it with beige pumps to lighten it up a bit.
I would also like to thank my Bloggy friends who co-signed on Tuesday’s Testimony, when we are of one accord blessings pour down like rain!
Don’t ever be afraid to testify  –  you never know, it might help somebody!
I love this brush suede skirt because it’s style is fashionable for a woman of my age and it fits to a “T” with a perfect length. Â So glad someone donated it to the GW Boutique (Goodwill). I am going to say the same for these pumps which are also classic in style and just the right heel height because I might cut back on higher heels…NOT!

8 days after Thanksgiving – I am grateful and 2 days after the biggest Powerball Jackpot in history – I am still grateful!

Goodwill Fall Haul

Saturday was an overcast and cloudy day which put me in the mood to do a little thrifting. Â With a dollar limit in mind and a $10 gift card I headed south to Goodwill in Smyrna. Â Upon entering the store I grabbed a cart which was taken by an associate because it remained empty and idle for too long. Â I was looking around in search of Cowboy boots and I hate pushing the cart in and out of the aisles during my search. Â I didn’t find the boots but found a few other items along with another empty cart on the other side of the store.

As I headed back north to Middletown, I stopped at a small yard sale on Route 13 and purchased a belt and small makeup bag spending $2.00, the ladies were grateful since they hadn’t had a sale all day. Â Goodwill in Middletown is undergoing renovations, “to make it a more pleasant shopping experience” which is what the sales associate said – lol. Â Once again, the hunt for Cowboy boots was futile however, I did find a few nice skirts for the fall and winter season.

Small stain in the tweed skirt came out in the wash and I will be removing the bows on the jacket because it cuts tight across the chest.
