OOTD – Turnaround Thursday

Posted on: February 7, 2013

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!

When I saw this top at Goodwill I knew I had to get it because of all the colors, it would work with almost anything in my closet. There was just one slight problem…it’s very low cut in the front and I knew hubby would not let me out of the house in it.

It just hung in my closet…that was until yesterday after reading a post by a fellow blogger, Jean of all Trades…I am now wearing it backwards!!!

I am glad that I kept the shirt but more importantly, I am thankful for bloggers who come up with great ways to re-fashion clothing and jewelry!  This necklace was a $1.00 find at the Flea Market and I used nail polish to give the stones some color.

Remember those cute kids from the ’90’s group, Kriss Kross, they wore their clothes backwards too – everything old is new again!

Yay! I love that top on you. So glad my tip worked. It looks better backward than it would forward, I think. This is elegant and the draping at the back is unexpected and lovely. It looks like a Missoni. I forgot about Kriss Kross – they rocked the backward look too!

Thank you again, hubby and I discussed this last night because he was complaining about how the teachers dress in his middle school and then a flash bulb came on in my head about this shirt. I love my little three dollar thrifted shirt and now I can wear it out!

I love this! Jean is so clever, I’m glad that this worked out for you. I may have to try this with a top that does the same thing. It’s a little more drooped but would probably look great as a low back blouse. Work it!

Thank you I was thrilled when I saw her post because I love this little thrifted three dollar top!

The top is great worn backwards!
I love how it drapes, just a little sexy at the back.
Jean is a clever fashionista. 🙂
Cheers,
Laura

That’s a great idea…looks really nice on you! Have a wonderful weekend! ~Sherry~
